🇬🇧 An ode to Italy

The Milan-based sleep and homeware brand, Morpho + Luna is pleased to announce its first iteration of ‘Morpho + Luna at Home’, a collection of bed, bath, and table linens made in Italy inspired by the country’s artistic traditions and rich cultural heritage.

The move into homeware is a natural progression for Morpho + Luna and the brand’s first collection fuses contemporary style with traditional skills and precious fabrics.

All the designs are made in collaboration with skilled artisans across Italy, following age-old techniques often reflective of the regional specialties of the maker. As a result, each of the pieces is unique, and behind each one lies an intriguing hidden narrative of skill, ingenuity - and individuals. ​

With Antica Stamperia di Carpegna, a family-run laboratory in Emilia Romagna specialising in unique artisan block print pattern making for over two centuries, Morpho + Luna have created beautiful and bespoke tableware individually hand-printed with hand-carved wooden blocks on fine white Italian ajour linen.

And with Laboratorio Maggi, favourite decorators to renowned architect Renzo Mongiardino (1916 – 1998), Morpho + Luna have created a set of hand-painted placemats and napkins featuring their distinctive floral and butterfly ‘Jardin de Nuit’ designs on Belgian linen. ​

Other pieces are made from a Jacquard-woven fabric, trimmed with crisp, Ajour lace: a traditional bobbin technique indigenous to Puglia in southern Italy. ​ ​

In addition, Morpho + Luna has launched tablecloths, runners, and towels, as well as elegant top sheets and hem-stitched pillowcases. ​

For the first time for the brand, most of the designs in the ‘Morpho + Luna Home’ collection are made-to-order to celebrate and nurture the dedication, passion, and skill that goes into each piece and to ensure that Morpho + Luna only produce what is needed to minimise waste. ​

As a result, every piece in the collection has a unique story behind it and is designed to be a modern-day heirloom; to be enjoyed, cherished, and handed down from one generation to the next. ​
